Fox Knives Terrible Experience

Do not buy anything made by Fox Knives they do not stand behind any of their products. Last year I bought a Black Fox Feresa for my sister and after a while the lock got stuck in the open position, so I contacted Fox for warranty service and was told to contact the dealer I bought it from (in this case BladeHQ). BladeHQ was unable to assist because Fox is located outside of the country, I contacted Fox again and was basically told tough luck, what kind of customer service is this. Do not buy from them they obviously don't care about their customers and don't stand behind the products they sell.

It's a liner lock held together by screws. Try taking it apart and putting it back together again. No doubt that would be a lot cheaper than sending it to Italy, with the added risk of it getting lost somewhere.

When did you buy the knife? Fox's website does say that their knives come with a 1 year warranty.

You really don’t even need to be crafty or handy to fix it, I know it’s aggravating but you can YouTube “stuck liner lock” and be shown the way. Good luck. Sorry you are having a mess but it’s an easy mess.

Fox Knives are awesome. That said, I'm sorry this happened to you OP. Please take the advice above and check YouTube for a good solution.

I had a fox produced Wilson combat knife for a bit that was awesome, that's my only encounter with the company. I second the take it apart crowd, but then again I like to tinker a bit.

Anyone that cannot unstick a stuck liner lock should only use fixed blades. Besides that is a less than $50 knife and mailing it back and forth would cost more than it is worth as expensive as shipping has gotten.

Ordering people not to buy a Fox knife is a bit much. Sorry for your issue but we don't know if your problem is the norm or statistically rare. Plus, I just don't like taking orders unless it is from my wife or boss.

Yeah its one of the possible issues that may arise when the knife is not made in the USA and you have issues, Customer Support and warranties will get tougher, I had a issue with a custom from a SA maker, got told to pound sand and then ghosted, fortunately, I managed to fix the issue by myself thankfully and learned a bit more about knives.
