Some are very good and others are plain junk. The single blade ones made in China are usually very good with maybe one in ten being a bit off in fit and finish. The blade has a core that is fairly hard and holds a good edge. The Damascus takes a very good etch in that there is alot of contrast in the layers. Most of the blades have scratches on them so they are more of a user quality.
I use them frequently but I hand sand the blade and redo the etch to get a much improved finish to the Damascus.
Do not but the two blade trapper as I believe that Damascus is from a different source (I suspect Pakistan). The Damascus is garbage Damascus and I threw away two of three I tried to use....
Got a small lockback in stainless with stainless liners as well, handled in stag and very nicely put together. The blade etch says Made in Italy but I doubt it, this is likely Chinese but robust and well finished. I like it a lot actually.
