Carried but has not cut anything except a little paper to test the edge. The knife shows significant scratching on the finish from inserting and drawing the blade. The scratches are cosmetic and do not extend to the edge of the blade. Scratches do not scratch the underlying metal, just the finish. The scratches are from rubbing on the inside of the scabbard and not from cutting anything.
