Fox's Folly II- new models? To Yvsa and any interested...

Khukuri Monster,

I ordered when you did and mine did not come today- though there have been times the package arrives in only three days.
Like you, I'll deal with any cracks in the handle. For the price it's no problem. What I'm really anxious to see is how it chops.

USPS heard it was snowing in Montana...they decided munk didn't really need the new khukuri today.

Here's something funny; UPS will not deliver handguns to this part of Montana. It is too far from an airport for them to guarentee 2 day air, so they just drop it.

That's one reason I no longer feel about UPS as I did when they first began. I was very supportive of them.

The snow is melting. The carpenters working on my house are out there in sweat shirts. No big deal.

As I look at them I see my 10,000 dollars. They are both good men and the money might as well go there. Better there than say, the IRS or Sears. Still, for 5000 I could get the Barret 50 cal. It appears if I'm ever to get the 50 I'll have to become successful and rich.

"If I was rich, " I told them, "I could say: Just keep building boys. We need a treehouse down there." Why not? They have families to feed. A gun tower might be nice.

If nothing else catches your eye,

Take a good look at the older 18" Chitlangi
Ones with two big fullers &
a Big-Bell butt on the grip

the one in the center here

I say 'old' because they once had
the big, bell-shape Chainpuri style butt.

Most newer ones appearing on the forum deals don't seem to have this

Even the chainpuris seem to have smaller bells now
maybe wood is at a premium

I like fullers too

you might also look out for a good deal on a YCS

Munk, from what I understand UPS will no longer deliver handguns, period. I used to use them to send stuff to Mag-na-port for porting and Trijicon to have night sights installed, and there was never any problem.

I guess they had a problem with their employees stealing them though, so now all they will ship is long-guns I believe.

UPS will ship handguns from FFL to owner or owner to FFL in two day/next day air. This shipping entails a much higher level of accountability. It may be some States have restrictions I'm not aware of regarding transportation of arms.

They won't ship in my part of Eastern Montana. (the rather notorious region known as "home of munk compound/ Kid Curry and vicinity." )

Edit- in case something had changed in the last few months I was unaware of I called my favorite gunsmith and verified the current UPS policy.

Oh THAT "Ferg."

Well, I can't post pictures here.

And my digital camera died after three months.

Didn't get a replacement - - - yet. I think I'm going to have to get a replacement so I can post pictures at the IKRHS site, where I have that privilege.

Sorry.

(Pitting wasn't too bad. It was a good deal at the price)

Oh ddean you are killing me with those pics of the Chitlangi and Ycs...........

Big fullers...........

:(

Those pictures made me appreciate my old Chitlangi more than ever- even if the fullers wobble just a little.

I just figured out the Chitlangi's byline:

Elegance with a Can-Do attitude.
