Foxy Folly Khukri

DMH1112, where did you find one (if you don't mind sharing)? I'm looking for a FF too and hopefully one made by Royal Kami Bura. I love his work.

i must be one of the lucky one's ive managed to get my hands on a foxy folly by durba who's symbal is the styalised nepali flag in pristine condition:thumbup:

I just posted on wanted to buy knives and someone responed.

Look in wanted to buy knives and look for my post. I am not going to buy it because there are a few blemishes and I need one in perfect condition because I am going to use mine for heavy duty work and don't want anything to happen while using it. If you want one really bad you can ask him about buying it.:)

Just a friendly reminder. This thread is getting dangerously close to becoming a deal thread. Let's keep it limited to photos and thoughts on how the FF perform.

Thanks.

Just got mine today from the thread that Ferguson posted that belonged to forum member Bri in Chi. Wow, it lives up to the hype. The wider handle fits my wide hands like a glove. The balance of it is perfect and the weight feels just right. And like he said, it is razor sharp, it actually shaves :). But the coolest thing is the noise it makes when you strike it, it has a nice little chime to it. This just might replace my Tarwar as my new favorite.

Congrats on the score, Jake. If I weren't broke as a joke, that thing would've been mine before any of you saw it. I was lurking in the Exchange as Steve was posting those threads. That's the only time I've ever been genuinely sad over not being able to get a knife. Some day I'll have one.

the foxy is one of the best models ever, and all its variants... it's the leaf shaped blade that sings with fullers of your dreams.

course, i consider the YCS and variants, iirc, to be "in the family", especially consider there are some VERY long foxy folly blades - a couple of which are MONSTER heavy, and some are "like a leaf on the wind"... plus some short stubby ones, and a new variant (which i don't have yet), with a companion knife, and a pancake sheath.

at one point i had 5 regular foxies, but kept the best 3 :> then the best two. only need so many, i guess. still have a heavy model, and a so called fighter - that thing SINGS when tapped.

they chop JUST fine. ;)

Congratulations on your acquisition.

As you know from your research, there are several variations of the Foxy Folly out there, and if you have the inclination maybe someday you can get a 17inch version for comparison purposes? ;)

In any case, enjoy chopping and using your FF. :)
