She can put a wicked edge on that honors a blade,
and uses a knife with skill, sense, and safe habits.

I'm impressed. This is an interesting fusion of tradition and innovation and the result looks very nice to me. I'm particularly pleased with the weight/length ratio. I passed on the first one because I honestly have far too many khukuris as it is, but now I'm having second thoughts. :) I liked the Foxy Folly in its last incarnation and this one seems to be even better.

Again, I'm impressed. :thumbup:

(Someone's going to etch one of these, right?)
 
I'ts sorta strange looking but in some odd way I kinda like the rendition myself. I'm wondering if the shape of the handle is going to be as comfortable as it appears it's going to be?
 
Can't believe I missed all of this yesterday. Super snags DD. I have always loved the foxy and with this configuration...I'll bet it's even better. That handle looks perfect for gripping.
 
Wow, I missed this thread entirely until now. I've got to do a better job of avoiding distractions, such as work. :D

The new handle is a big part of what drew us to these blades.
Both of us were excited when we saw the non-traditional handles.
The R-6's are really icing on the cake. I have been wanting an R-6 for a while now.
I recently passed on my YCS to a friend whom went above and beyond to
help Lil Bit and I out af a jam. So the Khuk shelf has been bit bare, and the BAS a bit lonely. Now that great Bura blade has a couple of bigger brothers to hang out with.

that's a neat configuration. too neat. i want one. just ... not quite yet. sigh.

The handle was inspired by the old boy scout hatchet. I modified the designed so that you can choke up on the handle for close work or hold it tword the rear for more leverage. the R6 was a sarge knife which I modified to conform to the puukka style. I have found this a more versitile allaround knife. The set was designed for the camper,hunter, hicker. exct.
The scabered I designed about 25 years ago it proved very reliable for me when I was going places and doing things that uncle wanted me to do. By combining the two knives in one case it cut down on space.

since I haven't seen the kami's version in person I just hope that it balances as well as the original. they sure did a nice job..they are amazing.
Daddydett could you E/M me when you recieve your's as I would like your opinion.

I like this design so much I was hoping to buy one, which I will do as soon as they become generally available. I strongly suggest this becomes a regular product.

We are about an hour and a half to two hours from yall. If we can get a good day to ride, we might try to coordinate a putt out your way so you can handle one.
