Frame handle strength

I didn't want to hi-jack or redirect Mace's thread....

I like the look and the possibilities of a frame handle , but I was curious if it was acceptable to use on, say, a camp knife. If the blade were stuck in a stump and twisted, for instance, would it hold up?

depends on the construction but Mace's would take it. becuase the way he put a collar on the front of the frame. some framed tang's dont have that collar. and are much less strong.

I did some distruction testing on some of my early frame handle knives...broke more blades than handles.
I wouldnt use them as hammers.
