In the not too distant past there was a post on making a coffin bowie with a frame handle. It had a stick tang with a frame around it making the coffin shape. I know my memory is bad but I thought I saved the instructions. They were very well drawn all most a "blue print" maybe a couple of pages,as I recall. I have done every search I can think of with no luck:( . Help please. John

Your talking about this? http://www.knifenetwork.com/workshop/tut_coke_evans.shtml

It's by Bruce Evans, and the concept is pretty simple, basicly your making a two part full tang knife. The hidden tange fits into the frame which is shaped like a full tange would be. Pin and glue your slabs on, shape them and pin the hidden tange in and your done. Of course the trick is getting everything linned up and it's not quite that easy, but it's not that hard eigther, just takes a bit of time and attention to detail.

I have been thinking about how to make an "integral' frame setup where the frame, guard and buttcap were all one piece. Kind of the knife version of "no visble panty lines".....lol
