This is just a hypothetical, something I have been wondering about.

On a framelock, say I don't want to use titanium for the scales, what would I use? I know for a fact this has to have been covered before, but I can't find it. Thanks for answering it yet again.

You can make it from any material that can be made hard and tempered to be springy. CPM S35V, 410 , 440C, etc. Heck, thin 1095 would work.

Stacy is correct, when I read the title I was thinking liner lock, not frame lock, hard to find most of those in .050.

Just remember your gonna have to relive the lock down to about .050 to be able to open it.Just like Ti.

Well awesome guys. I was going to edit my post to include liner lock material as well, but now I guess I don't have to. :)

Maybe a liner lock is easier anyway, yes?

A little easier, you have thinner material to cut and you don't have to relive the lock.Other than that they are they same.
The video "how to make a liner lock" by Don Robinson is a great video to show you how it's done.
