Frame Lock Under $100 Suggestions Please

Aaaahh man, that sucks. I've only had a few minor cuts that may have bled for about 30 minutes a few times. I've been lucky so far. Hopefully your tendon heals quickly.

Crkt eros, it's an ikbs flipper as well. Comes at different price points depending on size amd materials.

I looked at some of the Kizers, they look like they have some quality to them. Kershaw is a possibility. Not a big CRKT guy, but I may be interested in the eros. Thanks.

Thanks K.O.D., I've had a few kershaw spring assisted knives, and I think I know what you mean. I haven't had any close calls like that thankfully. Maybe that one is even more snappy, but anyway, thanks for looking out for me.

The Emerson collabs actually aren't assisted, they're just super smooth once you break them in. Plus the blades are small and very light, and the detent is relatively stiff, which makes them snap closed once the detent breaks.

Went through several nerves, part way through the tendon. Got two beautiful stitches from it.

Nice, man. Any nerve damage? The top of my left hand ring finger from the nail to the small knuckle is numb from... well... my RAT-1. It's not something i notice all the time but i am reminded quite often.

ON TOPIC: I can definitely second the Kershaw Strobe. I have never owned an Emerson but the Kershaw/Emerson collabs do indeed look promising. Schrade has some decent Framelocks. If all else fails, man, the Grip isn't a bad option. The Axis lock is crazy strong. If looking for lock strength I'd go with Axis over frame (At this price point, anyway).

P.S. Tri-ad

The Esee Zancudo comes to mind for about $25. The Buck Lux (different price points and steel choices [420HC, 13C26, S30V]) is well in your range.

The drifter is great! Only cheat is it has a slight recurve so free hand sharpening you have to be very careful to take the burr off as the steel runs a little soft. Easier to do this with a system though! They also make a large size drifter. It feels more like a sebenza in hand than a sage 2 if that is what you are going for. Really easy to edc.

For about $120 to 140 you can find the sage 2 on the exchange I've been looking at going that route for a while now, I really think once you get the sage 2 you won't even think about the 20-40 bucks you went over budget

Zt 566 used!

This or a used 0550 or 0801. Both can be had for right around $100. I picked up a nice reground 0801 a few weeks ago for under $100 shipped. Don't let used scare you off. KAIs warranty is 2nd to none.

Also check out the Kershaw Salvo, JYD, Storm. Made in the USA for less than $50.

I'm thinking I got really lucky I got my spyderco sage 2 for 135$ other than that dendra knives I've seen run around 110$ and are flippers

If you can stretch your budget and get a Spyderco Sage (1 or 2) you won't regret it.

Kizer makes a couple Ti frame locks around or under $100. I think the Boker Epicenter is around there too, beast of a knife.

I may trade my Sage 1 for a Sage 2 + some cash. I've never used it, it's pretty much brand new. I'll up my membership and hopefully will find someone who kept theirs nib or lnib like me. Or I'll just sell it and use the $ for a Sage 2. Thanks everyone. Never really heard of the Kizers until now, they have some nice looking knives for the price. I may have to get one in the future.
