Frame locks . what am I missing ?

If you're going at the $400 level, I'd reccomend tossing in another $100 and get one of them "overpiced" Hinderer XM-18's in 3" or 3.5" and don't look back. ;)

spyderco military? you could even get the g10 slabbed, m4 bladed variety too. the mini skirmish is a nice offering from benchmade

Skirmish is disc and too much $ on the bay [value wise ]

. . . If the sebenza is any better than my Bradley I would be impressed.

Well then, Prepare to be Impressed! I have several Bradleys (I's and II's), and the Sebbies are in a different class. Period. Other than the types of materials employed (i.e. when it comes to pure craftsmentship and quality) there really is no comparison. Of course, that's MHO based on owning, carrying, and using a Small Seb and/or an Alias II for about 3 years now (sometimes I carry both).

Doggorunning did a nice vid comparing the Seb and Alias; it's worth a look:

Sebenza is 10x better than any Bradley.

Why? What exactly makes it 10X better? Have you owned and used both knives? Just curious. I don't own either one, but I've held both knives at one time or another and I honestly didn't see much difference in quality, just price.

I don't think it's about the actual quality. When you are paying that much, you are paying for the tiniest of details and to be part of the exclusive club. The materials for a Sebenza probably cost them $25-35 and it's as simple as it gets for the design.

If you pay over $150, paying for the tiny details and bragging rights, might as well go all out instead of half-stepping it.

I do. I own 5 Bradleys, and 10 Sebenzas. I have EDC'd both the Alias II and/or a Small Sebbie. The Sebenza is in a different class altogether. And you can't necessarily tell from just holding them for a few seconds -- you have to carry them, use them, disassemble/lube/reassemble them, etc., for an extended period of time to truly understand and appreciate the distinctions.

The Bradleys are great, otherwise I wouldn't have 5 of them. But the Sebenzas . . . are exceptional -- fit, finish, quality, and craftsmanship far exceed the Bradleys.

You beat me to saying that as I read the replies. Chris Reeve doesn't win the quality award every year at the BLADE show for nothing. Another large Sebby is next on my radar after my ZT 0551. ;)
