I said that my last sale post a couple days ago was it for a while, but I guess I lied. I had this one on the bench and was so excited to finish it that I ended up doing an all-nighter marathon on it. This is my best work to date. The pattern was originally drawn for a special knife for my fiancé, but I wanted to try the pattern out first before starting hers (expensive materials). I'm so in love with this one that I am probably going to make one for myself, first chance I get (who knows when that will be).
This thing has personality to spare. If you want to be the cool kid at school for this year's annual hunting/hiking/camping outing, here's your ticket.
The handle is quite comfortable, even with its ballooned rectangle profile. I gently softened the corners as well. Balance, in hand feel are excellent. I really love this one.
The Desert Ironwood Burl is some of the best I've seen. It shimmers in person, very strong chatoyance. Deep contrasting colors.
5.25" edge length, CTS-XHP .160" thick, 10.3" OAL
Hand cut sterling silver inlays, sterling silver pins, 416ss guard
Desert Ironwood burl scales
Black G10 Frame and Ferrule
8.2oz
sold, includes made-to-order premium leather sheath.
