Hey, I just bought Sanrenmu 710 and it's a frame lock design. Is there anyway to loosed up the lock? It is super hard to close the knife with one hand. Thanks.

you want to loosen the lock or the pivot?

if its the lock, just let it be and it should break in over time.

if its the pivot, just unscrew it a bit or apply some lubricant.

Sounds like one I'd like. On the three I bought each one had a tiny amount of stick to the lock that went away way fast with just a little use.

So, I'd say use it a week and see how it works in. In the mean time take out a number two lead pencil and paint some lead on the contact on the blade where the lock hits it. Just draw on there with the pencil and the graphite from the lead should lube it up enough to allow it to ease up. Repeat as needed until it breaks in. Its best to let nature take its course on these things and not adjust it. Be patient it will self adjust in time and you'll have a fine user before too long that smooths out nicely.

out of all of my knives, I've had 4 that didn't stick at all when I got them. out of quite a few. each one smoothed out eventually to the point of which it had no stick. some knives took longer than others. I'd say break it in.

Sharpie works great & seems to last longer than lead pencil. What's the handle material on the Sanrenmu 710? Is it SS or aluminum?
