Framelock under $125?

Have you come across the Spyderco Leafstorm? I do not own one but is a close fit. I would also recommend the Sage 2 very highly.

i personally dont consider the ppt a framelock but thats just me :)... it does have a cutout in the handle scale that exposes the lockbar allowing your grip to apply pressure against the tang so i guess i can see why some do.

for $10 more the re-released gen 2 boker plus epicenter can be had from bladehq ;)

I have the 'AG Russel Italian Made Tactical' (Yeah, that's whats it called). It was right around 100. Ats 34, titanium frame. They were made by Fox knives of Italy and are pretty decent. Came out in 04, but looks like they still have stock on them. I like mine, lightweight and smooth.

I had one and sold it because I prefer tip up carry, but I thought it was a great knife. Now that I have some 2-56 taps and a little experience tapping titanium I wish I still had it---I would convert it to tip up. They are $100 and are a good value for the money.

Unfortunately I just checked A.G.'s website and the only ones they show in stock are the $295 damascus bladed models.

I just looked, and the $99 model RUS-FX180 is in stock, I think?

Monger, really digging that HK/Benchmade. Looks very nice. If only it was tip up! Tip down only is a definate turn off for me but this one might stay in the running. Not a fan of the Manx though (based on looks alone).

Yes, it is. My bad. Here's what it looks like:

Hm. Well i really like that AG Russell. I think it might come down to that one and the HK/Benchmade. Een though neither are tip up or flippers... I like both designs quite a lot. How about some more input on those two.

Well I did lots of research last night on both the AG Russell and the HK. I settled on the Russell after watching some reviews and reading a lot of what people had to say about it. AG Russell also has a stellar reputation so I think that's that. Thank you all for your valuable input/advice. Look for my next thread so you can help me to decide my next niche to fill.

I had the A. G. Russell recurve Ti frame lock and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a very slim knife, with pretty good finish, made in Italy. It feels more gentlemanly than some of the more robust frame locks out there, but that doesn't imply it's in any way weak. As you stated, A. G.'s reputation is way out there, so if you don't like it, just send it back.

I bought mine for $125, when they first came out, and it was a good deal then, even more so now.

He had some blems listed in a sale catalog once for like $75 or so. If I ever see any of those again I'm going to snag another one.
