Since there was some talk in the 560 threads about 110 blades, thought I would play with the new cam and throw up some pics. Sorry for the quality, still learning the cam and flash.

Trax...these look more orange than pink, but I still think I have a "pink" one around here somewhere.

You all feel free to post your different frames that have 110/112 blades.

I l;ike the looks of that polished 560, Now I may have another to try out.
John

According to Decaffe D you may have a really hard time finding one of these. It does have a 2003 110 blade in it.

It has been impossible for me to photograph this thing without reflections.

humm seeing as this is a bucklite related thread-
here is an odd one for your enjoyment -
black blade on black frame-
bucklite custom damascuss blade ...

That polished 560 with the holes in the blade is a frankenstein isn’t it? The blade came from one knife and the handle from another.

So, is it possible to take apart a standard 560 and polish it up to come up with something akin to Dave's??

Will, I don't know all the history of the holy 110 blades. But there are a few out there.

Here is another in stag. Sorry don't have a single pic of it.

TS...maybe Decafe will stick in someinfo about polishing 560's. I believe there are a few floating around.

An inverted three liner damascus in a Bucklite...Verrry interesting Dave!!!

Not to be picky, but...aren't all Damascus blades considered "black"???

I'd think any TiNi or even black enamel would cover the Damascus so that it would not be obvious it was Damascus...the raw appearance of which is the only reason for choosing it for a blade over other steels...

PR
I think the stag one is the original and a bunch of them were made, for AG Russell is what I recall. I still think the 560 with that blade is a frank’n’ferter.

Geeze Dave, you know I am not a fan of drop points :D

Cool blade tho...

me i like some DP's and bucksway seems to like them a lot
there were some saw backs made but have not located any
also there were some 112 drop point centenal knives put togeather
trying to locate thoes also..

I sure would like to find one of these :D:

A *folder* with a sawback???

Actually, I was getting some sanding drums for my Dremel the other day and saw their cutoff wheels...nice and thin (.060"?)...and was thinking about that post where the guy cut his own sawback in a 119...the Dremel wheels are too thin for a 119; but would work well on a 110... :)

I was thinking...clamp a 110 blade in the mill...on a slight angle...lay the cuts out so they're equally spaced and all the same depth...it would look pretty "factory made"... :p

The serrations on the bottom...I wouldn't begin to know how to cut/grind... :(
