Good Francisco Vaz - Issue Resolved

I initially had some trouble reaching Francisco for three weeks starting at the end of June, and was worried about my order status. Francisco has since reached back out to me and updated me with progress photos of my order, and they are nearly complete. I believe the flooding in brazil during May put a strain on his books and schedule but it appears that he is working hard to make everyone's orders now. So far, other than the flooding in May and June, he has been great to work with and I am looking forward to receiving my knives.

I can't speak to your situation, but I commissioned a set of knives from him and had similar issues. I would ask to see their progress and get pictures of someone else's knives that would be "like" mine, a discription of an upgrade his shop was getting, or radio silence. He's just not communicative and shipping is a bit of a shitshow. All that said, I love the knives he made for me and don't regret the purchase at this point. I hope things work out and you get the knives you ordered. I'm sure you'll love them if you do.
 
He actually has responded to my e-mail today, and has been in contact since.

I have received updated and timestamped photos of my order's knives, and I am confident that everything will work out.

I have edited my posts to reflect my positive experience with the resolution of this issue.

From the previous thread about this the maker posted an email that was set up specifically for customers that were in this situation to contact him. Maybe try this email if you haven't already.

Any member with on going orders with me, if you dont trust anymore my work, that is completely ok and i wont fight on it

You are not alone. The above link was my thread. You should read the entire thread. There were several similar complaints. I requested a refund after losing hope about deliveries. We reached an agreement on an amount and Francisco made the payment. Settling a claim instead of delivering on promises is not exactly “making good,” but it was a resolution.

I feel lucky that I didn’t lose more than the use of my money for a year. Francisco also promised several additional knives “to be fair” for using my money and not delivering after he said the orders were shipped. Still waiting on those. He did recently contact me about sending one extra knife of higher quality, but communication stopped again.

One bad customer experience can happen to anyone. Multiple similar bad experiences with the same excuses and the same apologies has a much more sinister feel. I will be surprised if he makes good on his extra promises to me and/or all the other folks here.

Patience is wearing thin with me🙁. I know that the shipper and weather is beyond his control but my order from Christmas is still waiting for pick up. Waiting until the end of the month then I’m done with this and asking for a refund🙁
