Frank J Richtig

Well legend or not, they're not cheap. I go to a big flea market in NE and have seen a few, but none in good shape or reasonably priced. I'd love to buy one and use it.

I have several Frank Richtig knives - one small paring knife and a larger butcher knife. I received them from my Step-Grandfather as a wedding present in 1963. I have used them sparingly (many years ago) but not for a long time. I used to have possession of a hunting knife/sheath which was my mothers, but sold it at a Gun/Knife show and sent the proceeds to her. That was years ago. As I recall, I received $700 for it then - I have recently seen it listed for sale online for $6,300 (I know it is the same knife since the story accompanying it is the one (true) I told the gentleman I sold it to.
Here is a link to the knife sale. http://www.homerweb.com/vintage/Frank-J-Richtig-Fighting-Knife_301079868169.html

When I get a chance, I will take pictures of the 2 knives I have and include them here.I have a problem - I have the photos but do not know how to attach them to this thread! Any suggestions?
