Franken Blades! Post pics of your creations

So I love the Milie. I have 2 Ti militaries and thought that one would look sick with a black blade and clip. So I ordered a camo handle/black DLC blade military. It arrived today. As soon as I got home I went all mad scientist and got to work. Here is the result...

This is a 2014 Ti Military and a 2016 camo/black one. Amazingly enough the lockup on them both is perfect after the switch. I was dumbfounded to see that they both went back together absolutely dead centered. The actions are actually more smooth after the switch than before. This was a win for me! I wish I had completely blacked out hardware for the Ti version.

I AM CURIOUS TO SEE WHAT OTHER FRANKEN BLADES AND MODDED SPYDIES EXIST! Post up pics of your evil creations.

That looks awesome. Should be a normal production option to have ti and black blade.

I thought about doing the same with the Dragonfly II to get G10 scales with a ZDP 189 blade.

a guy here in the custom shop. alligatorgarfish ( stephen). he's a canadian guy that does stone wash, sharpening, all that stuff.

Nothing too exciting.

My favorite blade swap that I've done is between two Military sprints, a Cruwear/grey G10 and a CTS-XHP/brown G10. I really wanted the grey G10 with a CTS-XHP blade. My father really liked the brown handled Military so I gave it to him. I've got his blade and he's got mine.

Your ti milli has the custom divot out of the lockbar insert just like mine.

All Hap40 blades.. (minus the super blue, I didn't get around to the swap, I lost it at a amusement park)

The whole right column, are blade or scale swaps..

Dlc/Cruwear swap

Blade and scale swap w/custom sheath(for "fixed" blade carry)

It's a mark from the laser cutting. A lot of the PM2s' liners have them.

My favourite Spyderco's that I use the most are all moderfied in some way .
Blade swaps , custom scales , re-profiled blades , pocket clips , stone washed etc .
But I suppose the first one I moderfied should be the first one I post pics of .

Caly 3.5 ZDP189 that I blade spine re-profiled and removed the finger choil lump on the scales .

I would love to have a couple of those sheaths for the Dragonfly II!
