Hopefully Andy won't mind me bastardizing his knives like this. If so, I'll yank this down and delete the thread. Ken, Andy, anyone, just say it's out of line and it's gone.
This is not meant to say I don't like what I have - you all hopefully know I LOVE Fiddlebacks. This is just me having some fun unwinding on a Friday after work, enjoying a cold one, and thinking about knives.
With that out of the way, I've been thinking a lot about what my "perfect" Fiddleback is.
For me, this means:
Camp Nessie: oh how I love the handle. While sexy, the hump can hinder the batoning some.
Bear Paw (Big Paw): pretty close on all these (might be lacking a little in the sexy).
Bushfinger: love it, such a great bushcrafting blade. Just wish it had a little longer handle.
Woodsman: Might be just a little big to carry all day or sit on the porch carving, but another killer knife.
I'm told I'm probably looking for a Sneaky Pete, but I haven't come to terms with that yet.
So I hacked together a couple in an attempt to build one. I'm pretty sure this might just suck, but it's fun to dream.
I present to you, the FrankenFiddle (sorry, I suck at Photoshop):
Camp Nessie 5" handle with a Bushfinger 4" Blade. 5/32" O1, Tapered Tang, Amazing Spalting, Shadetree, super thick liners.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my bit of fun.

For me, this means:
- Good for Fire Prep - batoning, feathering
- Sit on the front porch carving
- Usable in a Camp Kitchen
- Comfortable in my big hands
- Carry on the belt all day
- Sexy - lines, grind, spalting, handle material
