I don't do many scandi grinds, but the Fred Rowe bubble jig makes it easy.
CPM S30V and yellow G10
Set-up the jig for 12 degrees. Stock is .1875 thick.

I do mostly flat grinds, I've got one and think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Moon.

Thank you for posting the pics.

Regards, Fred

I mostly do hollow grinds and I don't use jigs or fixtures. I think it's important that scandi grinds are precise in order to perform. I used the bubble jig to set-up the angle and insure the bevels are flat.

Where can I buy one of these Fred Row Jigs? I am looking for one that will help with flat grinds.

Thanks guys

I was fortunate enough to win a Bubble Jig in one of Mr. Fred's GAW's a while back. I still do full flat grinds freehand but when I want a precise known degree of angle I reach for the Bubble Jig. It makes grinding Scandi's and clips an absolute breeze.
