Free 550 cord to the best solution to my problem

Ok, here's the best idea you'll ever get...make the deck 6 feet shorter. Problem solved and it won't cost a dime. In fact, it'll put money in your pocket because you can take all those extra deck boards back to lowe's. Meter won't be on the porch anymore and the kid probably won't be able to reach it to play with it then, plus you won't have some guy on your back porch looking in the sliding doors once a month.

I meant 6 ft shorter from side to side, not vertically...lol Don't go cutting the legs off the porch.

Do what I have done with similar projects.

Get yourself one of them BIG BLUE TARPS and BUNGEE CORD that sucker down. Do not skimp on the Bungees.

My wife just loves when I do this around our house.

OK, need my address for the paracord now?
