I have an extra computer that I want to get rid of. It's not fast but is still servicable. It'a a Pentium III 600 mhz with 256mb of memory, an Asus P2B mobo, 8.4gb Western Digital hard drive, CD Rom drive, Soundblaster Live Value soundcard and an old 3DFX Vodoo 5 5500 64mb video card (sort of collectable). It will play vintage games well, and still plays Counter Strik ok. It is presently set up with a 10/100 network card but I might be able to dig up a 56k modem for it if needed, and maybe even an old TDK 8X CD Rom drive. It has a 17" Sony semi flat Trinitron monitor, a keyboard and mouse and some Panasonic battery powered speakers and is currently loaded with Windows ME (which I've lost the disk for, so you're on your own, but it runs fine now). It's not a rocket ship, but works fine for browsing the net, or doing homework, nudge, nudge, wink, wink Or it would make a great Linux box for a Linux newbie that wants to play.

This machine was previously my shop computer (well, sort of still is, but I'll blow it out before delivery). I've determined that if I remove the computer from the shop, I'll get more done when I'm out there. And have more available workbench!

It's located in Simi Valley, in So Cal.

Actually going to be swinging thru Simi Valley this weekend (March 26). If still available, call me at 661 510 3501. Kevin

Sorry guys, I have to modify this offer slightly. The machine will be as stated above, but will have a freshly formatted hard drive, with no OS. I can't in good concience give away a computer with an OS I can't find docs for. Supply your own OS and this is a solid, reliable system.

you might consider that some of the guys have been trying to get a comp together for Vampire Gerbil..its a good cause.

Jake, I had offered this computer to VG. It turns out he's a Mac guy so a bunch of folks got together and bought him a new Mac Mini otherwise his name was all over this machine. It looks like I've got a taker but will keep this open until it's actually gone.

Had a nice visit this AM from cop911 who is now the new owner of this machine. He was kind enough to bring me a new knife in trade even though there was nothing asked in return for this machine. It's a big bad Cold Steel Scimitar. A real sheeple scarer:)

Enjoy the computer Kevin, nice to meet you, thanks for the knife.
