-I reprofile on my Tormek machine using a jig to ensure accuracy in setting the bevel angles. This is a water-cooled 10" sharpening wheel at low RPM, so overheating the edge is not possible and I also grind with light pressure.

-Final grit of the main edge bevel varies but generally it's the 220 grit off the sharpening wheel **TGULB and Mega Warden received a bit of cleanup work on 220 grit waterstone prior to micro bevel**

- Micro bevel is set just few degrees higher than the reprofiled degree angle, which is done by hand on waterstones or wet diamond plates. The final grit of the micro bevel is typically 600 grit DMT diamond plate, all of these were done this way.



These are sharpened iwth a high degree of care into producing both a durable edge and also one that will cut reasonably well for most tasks. 15 DPS will certainly take damage in extreme use but going higher in DPS like the 25-30 DPS factory geometry basically gives you a knife like object with the cutting geometry of a cold chisel.... ie. designed to be pounded through hard objects, rather than used a knife for non-chisel blow cutting.
 
Also worth noting... My sharpening will NOT void your factory warranty and even if it DID then it's worth noting that Jerry Busse has NEVER failed to honor warranty request whether the knife was altered in any way or not. It means you've truly got nothing to lose here by trying a knife with better cutting geometry than factory and if you're less than impressed after using it for a bit then you can send it back for a full refund. I'm the one takin all the risk here by making that kind of a guarantee with my work because I feel so strongly about the quality and I've yet to have anybody send me anything but compliments on doing such an incredible job.
