I'd heard good things about 2Hawks tomahawks, and I was interested in trying a hawk as a lightweight alternative to a small axe or hatchet, so I ordered his Longhunter and Voyageur models. A period of time passed that was somewhat longer than the 6-week delivery time mentioned when I ordered, so I sent a reminder email. Devin apologized for the delay and said he would get right on it.

Sure enough, a few weeks later, I had a surpise package with the two hawks I'd ordered, and sheaths.

But not only that, Devin had also sent me one of his Competition hawks as an apology for the delay.

I've had plenty of makers be slower than expected fulfilling an order before, but this is the first time that someone has sent me an extra first-quality blade in compensation.

Can't speak to the performance of these in use yet, but they certainly look like quality items. For the moment, I think I will display the longhunter and voyageur with the knives shown above, whilst I use the competition hawk to learn a little hawk-craft.

I think the 2Hawks tomahawks are a great value. I like the double bit belt axe that he makes too. I'm glad to here that it all worked out for you.

I didn't know that Devin made a double bit axe. I have one on order from Lee Reeve (to pair with the Fiddleback nessmuk in the second picture), but that is a long wait.

3 hawks for the price of 2 is definitely a GREAT deal. I've been walking around the house this weekend with the competition hawk in hand, just getting used to the feel of it. Noone else is around at the moment, but I had to remember to put in down so as not to scare the mailman when I went to the door yesterday.

The belt axe is not on his web site. You have to email him to order one. It's very handy and comes with a very nice leather belt sheath. The overall length is 14 1/2", 5" from edge to edge, and the blade edges are 2 5/8".

The specs on that double bit are too close to the Reeve I already have on order, but I am tempted to pick up one of Devin's Woodsman hawks for a more compact option.
