Glad you found it before it was beyond help. But I must say it looks pretty vintage now and has some character.

Very nice "detail" job to get the detrimental rust layer off and bring this thing to a presentation that I would not hesitate to pay for it buying a 100+ year old vintage knife that still snapped open/shut - I find that had that kind of patina and character desirable, in the right case even a selling point.
