I have two good 3 phase motors to give away. one is a 3 to 4hp, the other is about a 5hp. They are on the floor of my shop by the drive in doors and VERY HEAVY.You want them, they are yours.

Aaron, they are not in a box, but they are shipable, I would think. I beleive the rpm's are 1725. They both take 2 or 3 men to lift them. For all the dope on them I will go out tomorrow and get the straight dope off the motor tags for you. And yes they are yours if you want them.

****, i think someone jhust took them, if not,,,,,,,, how much is it to ship them to canada?

Folks, thanks for all the replys! I beleive Dave Larsen is bringing a truck to pickup the motors. I wish I had more to give you folks but only have the two. Tell you what-- I can get these motors for little or nothing. We have a govt. auction at my workplace this spring, and if you guys are in need of anything let me know and I will fix you up if you can't make the auction. As cheap as stuff goes for there it would pay to be there. LOTS of 3 phase motors and equipment. As an example they sold a huge drill press, 3 phase, for just a few dollars. I will post the auction time and contents when they decide to hold the auction.

John, thanks for the motors! I'll get up to get them in a week or two weeks. My wife said we knifemakers offer to give stuff away so we can show our knives to someone new...but that's okay, because it gets us out of our basements!

Boy, what does she know! :D

Dave

AAron, I don't know yet what size of what, but yes, sometimes smaller drill presses. I havn't seen any decent sanders yet. The last HUGE 3 phase drill press was probably used for milling also. It weighed 2 tons, probably. The smaller one went for more than I wanted to pay for it. I did buy one of those big portable stencil/etchers for a buck. No one else knew what it was! And Dave--You are welcome and right about knifemakers. Bring some of your stuff when you come.

John what state are you in? im not tooo familiar with IA

illinois? Iowa? Indiana?

Thanks, Aaron. I live in SE Iowa, right on the Mississippi River bluff with the critters, buzzards, and eagles.
