Great tip, I can add one...If your brother is a finish carpenter working in a big city give him a free kiridashi![]()
Kevin, how do you like those Tek-lok belt loops?
Hear is a tip. If your like me and live right on the Columbia river close to Canada in prime hunting area then develop a kick ass fillet knife. The fishers and hunters love them up here.
No worries. The screw that come with the ones I order are 8-32 .25" long. I replace them with 8-32 .5" long. I bought a bag of them from AKS I believe. Some configurations come with longer screws I believe, but the longer ones I saw were silver, and I wanted black. For the record, I have made my own plain loops in the past and they worked out fine. The tek-lok just offers more versatility while I can make the sheath the same for every knife. Thanks for the info. I was hesitant to buy some becaus of the price. I bought some of the cheap metal ones and have only used one and now I just make one out of kydex but it's a pain. Think I'll buy a few on my next order and see how it goes. What size screws do you buy since the ones they come with you think are too short. I'm using the thinner kydex. Sorry to hijack the post for a min but you had one in your pic and I've been anxious to find out from first hand experience.
