FREE: Several khuks that don't fit my hand.

If this is April Fools thing, shame on you :)

OK, sorry guys! I'll stop it before we get to two pages of responses! I was waiting for an April Fool's thread but none were forthcoming. My original idea about the new "Hamsher" model coming out of BirGhorka (processed pork shoulder handle!), seemed too obvious, so I came up with this (I thought!) obviously lame giveaway figuring someone would do the math on $1600 worth of khuks.

Honestly I didn't think it would go too far and you're too good a bunch of folks to trick. I threw in the "Silver mounted AK" and "Sarge WWII with chandan" handle as clues, but I guess Cantina guys are too decent a bunch to mistrust anyone!

Please give me a pass on this one and put it down to a warped sense of humor.

Hawkwind, hang in there; I'm sure we'll get you a khuk online evntually once things get back to semi-normal.

Regards,

Norm

I will go on the backup list if some one falls through.
I'm with Bobwhite. If anyone backs out count me in.

Dang I'm always too late for everything.

I figured as much ;o

Didnt want to doubt, just in case. Oh well.

If anyone else want to send me a free khuk, don't hesitate to email me :]

What, this was an April Fool's Day gag  :grumpy:   :(

I can't believe it. (Well, actually I can, but ya still gotta put your name in just in case ;) )

First, a blue-haired benevolent tyrant king...

then a shower of rare, free khukuris...

I'm afraid to wonder what's next in this nutty place.

Norm, remember the time you told that guy he had to mail you a khukuri 'cause it had prions in it or something? Did he ever do it?

You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. :p ;)

I'll confess to a half...well...more like quarter hearted nibble, BUT..I WAS the first to remember April Fools day! HA!

I tried to give rep points, but the damn puter won't let me. :D (ahem...the green kind....*l*)

I live by the motto, "If it's free it's for me"

Things I've gotten for free in the past, knives, guns, a commercial potato grader, motorcycles, a 1973 AMC Jeep CJ5, advice, dinner, a kiss, a brake drum lathe, deer meat, 99 roosters(don't ask), cats, dogs, fresh grown produce, coffee, computers, relatives  other cars, and the list goes on.

No, I wish! (-: 'Course if he had, then in good conscience I would have had to pay to ship it back to him!

I have two defective khukuris for sale if anyones interested. They seem perfectly fine except they have a big bend in the blade. They dont straighten out, no matter how much I slam them into things. Ill let em go cheap too.

Once upon a time a good person was looking for a M43. I was going to trade with him, but at the last moment, I couldn't let my M43 go.

I felt bad.

Then this got posted. I saw my way to make it up to this person, and get him his M43. So I forwarded the thread to him.

Now I get to email him and tell him "nevermind" again. :(

I am now twice the Bozo I used to be....

First, eh? see post #5.

doesn't matter really. It just shows that we, the humans, believe in miracles despite all evidence to contrary.
