Joseph Opinel made his first knife back in 1890 and followed it up with the introduction of the Tradition Series No. 1 to No. 12 knives, which have remained incredibly popular for more than a century. Several other knife series have been introduced that follow the winning design cues of the knife that started it all. Opinel knives are crafted in Savoie France.
