Free to a good home

Well, the weather is getting worse and worse. Not sure how well the interenet connection will be in a day or two. May be great, may be spotty. The family got together and re-read all the entrys. It was really between two guys.

Both sound like awsome guys, with a great head on thier shoulders. In the long run, things will turn around for all of us.

Well, because of feared internet connect, the winner is.............. Capt. Spaulding

E mail me your address brother. The totak package includes a pack from me, a K-Bar from Bushman, and few folders from Walter Davis. Merry Christmas brother, to you and your family, you guys deserve it. Thanks again to everyone who helped out or showed support.

Cangrats man! Use them in good health.
Props again to dbltap45acp for being a great guy.

BTW, Capt Spaulding, my wife worked at Home Depot and had to deal with the same things as you, then she finished college. Got her Masters, and now she is a teacher. The crap at Home Depot I think swayed the vote, she was getting pissed for you.

Blais, I might still have something for you, shoot me an e mail later and I will get back with you tomorrow.

Sweet! Thanks Man! Email on the way.
Oddly I did the reverse and finished college prior to Depot...The store in Tucson was great but the one here in Durango is a train wreck. So, thanks her for her sympathies and kindness, and pray for the lost souls still employed in the contracting purgatory.

I would have a masters as well but I transferred to a PhD program at the UofA where they bait and switched me on recruitment weekend and EVERYTHING was different when my wife and I moved down there...so I gave them 2 semesters and started my own company...maybe a bad questionable decision but I know people that are still miserable there years later just because they won't leave, because its what their "supposed to do". I try not to abuse myself that way. Perseverance is one thing but the masochism is a whole other animal.

Thanks again DBL for such a cool gift!

Merry Christmas, DoubleTap - this was a warm-hearted and generous gesture.

Congrats, Spaulding! Hope you and yours are blessed in the new year!

congrats Capt Spaulding!
DblTap - good on you!
merry christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas guys...I am off for the next few days and gonna cook up a nice xmas spread and take my girl and midget tubing. Have a healthy and happy holiday!

Enjoy the TDI Doug...it is on the way and I emailed you the tracking number.

Captain Spaulding, email me you mailing address to bush>REMOVETHIS<man5 at hushmail.com

I will mail you a barely used, coating stripped off, KABAR WARTHOG fixed blade and sheath, and a chunk of fatwood. :) I expect to ship it by friday at the very latest.

Bushy

Ok, I never win shit. I never expect to win shit.

Until now.

Guys I am nearly speachless. The pack and knives are amazing and will all be put to good use starting tomorrow or Monday on a short snow shoe hike. This was WAAAAAAAAAAY more than I expected and everything is greatly appreciated. If any of you make it down Durango way I would be insulted if you didn't let me take you out fishing or at least buy a you few beers or share a scotch.

You guys RULE!

The guys you run into on this sight are fantastic. I've seen more generosity in my few years hanging out here than I have in 45 years in the real world.
I hope you get years of pleasure from your gifts.

Glad you liked it brother. My life seems to be going down the drain lately, but being able to help out a cool guy like you made my holiday season much better. Told you that pack was like new, it even still has the new smell to it. You are a very deserving person, I dont think I could have found a better person to gift the pack to.

The shipping was a killer, Walter Davis sent about 4 pounds of knives to go along with the pack. He is a great man.

Take care brother, and take some pictures of your outing with your new gear.

That would nice brother. Hopefully soon as well. I would like to make it out there to see another buddy of mine as well, maybe we could all go out and do some shooting, fishing, get a beer, and some camping.

Captain Spaulding, I'm glad you got everything ok, and Merry Christmas:thumbup:

dbletap, thanks again for letting me help out:D Next year, I'll pack some lighter knives:foot:;):p
