Work's doing a big cleanout and as we used to say, I made out like the fat rat today!

My boss was ditching a bunch of 12AWG and 10AWG extension cords, most with 125V/30A Twistlok ends, a few with 250V/30A Twistloks. I got about 120-140 running feet of extension cables in 10 and 15 foot lengths, with a good dozen male/female connector pairs.

A homegrown bus switching panel with 4 250V/50A bus breakers - nothing I have gets close to 50A, but they'll make good slap switches.

Several pounds of 1/4" to 1/2" aluminum plate. It's all routed, machined, drilled, whatnot, but I plan to piece together a 1/2"-thick heat leveler for a toaster-oven tempering rig. Shame none of the thick stuff is big enough for quenching plates....

And the crown jewel - I caught the boss and an intern cutting the motor loose from our Central Machinery 4x6 band saw.

"Are y'all scrapping that???"

"Yeah, it got bent somehow and it keeps breaking blades. You want it? You want the motor too?"

"Into the truck with it!"

The kicker? I work for a company that designs computer chips....
