I made this for Blade but you don't get a lot of folder traffic when you're sitting in the middle of a bunch of ABS Mastersmiths (all amazing makers and great guys!!). I was going to hold onto it to reduce my workload for ICCE but, I haven't offered anything here in a while and thought I should.

This is my Freelance XL. It sports a 3-1/2" Mike Norris ladder pattern stainless Damascus blade. Overall length is 8" and closed length is 4-1/2". Bolsters and backspacer are satin finished, heat colored Zirconium. Scales are Mammoth Tooth epoxied to a black G10 liner. The Titanium liners are fileworked, jeweled and anodized. Thumbstud is also Zirconium with a Mammoth tooth insert.

A quick word on Mammoth tooth. The material is crazy difficult to work with. Cracks are just part of the deal, it's a 50,000 year old tooth. This mammoth tooth has been stabilized and filled. There are visible cracks in the material and they are all completely filled. The tooth is affixed to a G10 liner to stabilize it and prevent it from cracking in the future.

Mechanically, this knife is fantastic! It fires open with a flick of the thumbstud. Lockup is early but full, detent is firm and the blade is centered. You will not be disappointed! The knife includes a lifetime warranty against any defects in workmanship.

This knife is offered at $1300. Price includes insured shipping to U.S. I prefer paypal but will take a check.

Thanks, Bob

Beautiful ... just like all of Bob's knives!!! This one is out of my comfort range by about a half inch or so .... but if 3.5 inches hits your blade size range ... don't pass this one up. You won't be disappointed!

What a fantastic piece of work! I just don't think I could bring myself to actually use it to cut something.

I don't have $1,300. But that thing is so beautiful I may just print out a picture and carry that.

Alright, well...lots of looks and very nice comments but, this is obviously not a knife for everybody. I think I'm going to pull this knife and hold on to it until I.C.C.E.. Thanks everyone.
