Fresh (Ken) Onions! Yo Ken tell us about these :)

VERY cool..!!! It`s nice to see the flipper action on the Boas! The flippers with the Speed Safe ought to be sweet. And I like the idea of color! Yay! I see the titaniam liner has been replaced with stainless steel. Is this to help the Speed Safe mechanism? Was the Ti too "sticky"? I always wondered why my Whirlwind seemed to snap open with so much more authority than my Random or Mini Tasks. Was the liner the difference?

These knives look great! The Boa kicks a$$..!!

Fresh Onions always make me cry.

These will definitely be on the "must have" list.

Especially the blue Ti Boa ! KNICE!!

I'm crying tears of joy.....great to see some different color options....any info on date of availability.....I must save!

i saw the avalanche in a previous post. nice, but didn't get my heart rate up. the boa's on the other hand...well, my keyboard is soaked with drool. nice knives, i'll be looking forward to getting one.

I've seen the handmade Boa, and this looks a lot like it, which is commendable. Personally, I think both versions look very broad; not thrilled, but I can perfectly understand why others would be. I DEFINITELY like the Avalanche, though. I'll have to take a look at one ASAP.

Howie, I agree, avalanche all the way!! I passed up one of Ken's at the LV Classic, great knife, Did I mention that I am stupid? Never should have passed, I regret it now!!

The avilanche will be available in March however ,and I hate to do this but . I am trying to make some changes to the Boa so will reserve any announcements till I know more . Lets just say the coolness factor will go up substantialy .e.t.a.is early april

We will also have a few more new models for 2000 they will debut at the Blade show in June (sorry)

Two fixed blades and two more folders or at least thats the plan.
We learned from our mistakes in the past with the early random task knives and don't want to offer anything that hasn't been thoroughly gone over .

Aloha!!!Ken Onion

If you need some folks to beta test the modifications, I am sure that someone here could be persuaded to try one out...

-Sam.

Very cool! Been waitin' what seems like forever for these babies to come out..

Yeah! Drop the chalupa...

Ken-By "coolness factor" I`m hoping you mean a new lock!

Also, do you forsee a flat ground folder in your future?

The "Boa" looks good. I hope the modifications Ken is proposing do not result in a thinner handle or smaller blade. The Random Task is great in this respect. I would love to have a Kershaw/Onion knife with correctly proportioned bulk in the handle and a decent blade width (stock thickness is a given) on the order of the Emerson Commander.

Would this design be offered without a clip? Sell it with a belt sheath. A rapid opening knife that could get dropped into your pocket and yet still be deployed very quickly. Too much to hope for...
