Hello to all, I'm new.
If this isn't the place to introduce yourself, just let me know. Most of time, if you show me the fence, I know which side I want to be on. I go by Big Medicine, and forge the blades for the knives I make. The name of my shop is Big Medicine Forge or (BMF). My real name is Gerald McGuire.

Welcome Gearld, Like the meaning of BMF. Hope to see some work in the near future so we can "steel" some new ideas.

Most of what I make is rough. I like hammer marks, textures, and finishes that I think most people don't care for. Right now I'm just trying to learn the basics, making different styles, trying to learn the properties of the steel and materials I'm using.

This is a Hunting knife I finished last week. O-1 tool steel, black canvas micarta scales, stainless pins.

Welcome, BM! I like the knife and in my time on here, I think if you choose to sell some, you'll find a vast array of tastes and sometimes, even though in general it may not be their taste, something unique will make them stand up and say "Wow!". Lots of knowledge and info from the makers here. Never feel stupid for posting a question but try to find the answers yourself first (either through Google or the board search function). Many questions you may have may have already been answered before (in some instances, many times!). Again, a warm welcome and let's see some more!

Welcome BMF That is a great lookin knife. If you just trying to get the basics I think your there LOL. IG DID you say something I couldnt read past your new avatar LOL. That is not fair that is way to small of a picture for my eyes. LOL
