I took one apart to see what I could see.

If you like a "skeleton" type knife, the handle holes are drilled in an eye-pleasing pattern, and you can polish the surface of you want. The bare handle would be more comfortable if you round the edges, as the exposed butt-end is alread rounded a little, and countersink the holes a little bit. You may want to slightly round the edges of the bare steel just in front of the handle, so they don't scrape at the Concealex when drawing the knife. The Concealex is molded to grip the steel, and in my samples has a slightly tighter grip on the bare one.

It should be relatively easy to do a custom handle (i.e. fancy hardwood) for this knife, if you assemble it with pins and epoxy. You'll probably want to keep the butt end exposed, since there isn't much room for a thong hole in the handle if you cover it.

And it shaves out of the box. I haven't tried to duplicate anybody else's Talonite test results.
