As per the usual, SHOT was a blast. Getting back east was a drag thanks to Jonas but after being stranded in Las Vegas for a bit, I eventually made it back.
The KaBar booth was a display destination - especially BK&T and, in particular, Ethan. That's right, The Man himself dutifully manned his station each and every morning promptly at 0830 (or thereabouts
) mixing and mingling with the faithful and the curious. Many came to see Ethan and many stopped to see his knives; he had lots of traffic. Look, we all love KaBar knives, but clearly Ethan was the draw.
This year I thought I saw more people. The weather was splendid if not a bit dreary at times for a desert but seeing folk I only get to see once a year was a treat - but waiting on what seemed like a perpetual line for Ethan was challenging yet inspiring.
