Friction Folder EDC?

Yeah that's a long way from Oklahoma. Beautiful work, though. That's just a cool set up man.

How is the Ti/carbide edge holding up? Does it really work? I've never had any experience with it.

Thanks man,

The Ti/Carbide edge does work, quite well actually. I was skeptical at first so the best way to to know is to test it out. Almost a month of use now I've only stropped it once on the Ti side, still hair shaving sharp. The carbide is very tough indeed.

daisy cutter- That M Morris friky is so nice, thanks.
Kevin- arf arf, u dogg!

The past couple of months I've been edc'ing nothing but a friction folder for my pocket knife. A fellow forum member sent me a nice Sardinian Resolza, and it's been doing everything my Case peanut ever did. Also I've been using a friction folder from Turkey, and I've been using Opinels for years. If you use good knife handling techniques, they are fine.

Turkish friction folder. A little rough workmanship, but it slices like a scalpel.

I dig my KO Custom 'Good Beers' friction folder (Forum member defaultuser and I dreamt up the design and he made it for me .) CPM154 steel, linen micarta scales, titanium pocket clip and the exposed tang has a built in caplifter...

Nice frikies! Thanks boys.
With a pocket clip or the correct handle length, Svord Peasant, the protruding friction folder tang is not a problem.

Snody makes a nasty friction folder, even has a Ti/carbide blade version.

He also made a video putting it through some tough use.

Thanks for dropping my name Bro.

Friction folders are awesome. I just put a pocket clip on my second FF I made and started carrying it. It weighs a few decimals over an ounce so you can't feel it in your pocket at all.

Pics were taken before I put the pocket clip on it.

This is the only other friction folder I have ATM. It's the first folding knife I ever made. I don't carry it very much because the grind turned out a bit off but I still love to fondle it.

Seelow, I like both of your friction folders. I really like the blade on the first one you made. The second one is a bit more refined.Nice work.

Thanks Kevin! Yeah, I like the blade on the second one a bit more but it's definitely thicker behind the edge than the first. The first one is smoother, too but I'm about to do some washer switching on the second one to see if that makes it smoother.

Have you started on yours yet? I saw you had some CF scales in some of your pics and figured you might have started the journey. Can't wait to see how it turns out bro.

Thanks Seelow! Great knives man!
Mike- I like simple so all I'd need is a Snody friky with a Black Ti blade G.
Thanks!
