My son (11) is showing more of an interest in knife making. I've been wanting to make a friction folder for a while and this seams like a good time. My question is if i use micarta for the scales/ frame, does the size of the head of the pivot screw matter? I was looking on alpha supply and they have some smaller head screws, and some much (maybe 2x) wider head screws. I'm concerned a smaller diameter head may not hold up, but i like the look.
