friction folder question

I just completed my first folder and it was a friction folder. Here is a cool little tutorial.

First, this is for a frame lock, not a friction. Second, I'm certain I am doing this the wrong way, but the knife opens and closes exactly where it should.
Assemble the knife w/o the pin. Then, using a standoff, I sandwiched mine between the liners and pushed it around until it was in the right spot. Once it's found its home, I super glued it in place. The glue left a nice mark and I then removed the pin, marked an X in it's place, bolted the two liners together and milled out the hole. I use a standoff and screws to lock it in place.
