in the open position, does gripping the handle compress it against the extended tang to help secure it ? roland

2nd question: if friction between blade tang and inner aspect of handles keeps the blade open, will this loosen with use and a bit of wear ?
can this knife be used as vigorously as a folder with back spring ? roland

As I've stated before, the friction is at the pivot. This knife as all folders I make have .005" washers at the pivot. And yes it will wear as any other knife will. Over time as components wear, in my slippys you simply snug the pivot screw, in the Ffolder you lightly peen the pivot pin with a ball peen hammer.
Can it be used?, If it can't be used I won't make it:cool:
That 1/8" brass pin behind the pivot pin is the blade stop. The blade is seated on this pin in either open or closed position.:)
