Well here are a couple of friction folders. Both with white tail antler and 3/32" 15n20. I started out trying to make slip joints but was not very happy with my results so I took some good advice and made a few confidence building friction folders. Nothing to fancy here. The stops are forged the flats are forge finish and the bevels are flat ground to 400 grit finish. Both knives are tight and smooth. Rc is around 58-59. The pins are brass. There is a little filework on both. Just about as simple as they come. I hope no one minds a couple of primitive friction folders in here with all the fine knives in the Folders for sale section.

Wharni is 5 3/4" closed
cutting edge is 2 3/8"

Clip point is 7 1/2" closed
cutting edge is 2 3/4"
Both are SOLD
Price is $75.00 each with shipping included. Price dropped from $100.00
Thanks for looking

Price drop to $75 each.

Thanks Darbyfett! for the kind words.
It does not look like there is much interest here so this is the one and only price drop. I will give it a few more weeks and then these will go elsewhere. Also I do offer a full refund if you are not happy with the knife after you get it.

Thanks for looking

I also like the Winnie, I was just looking at specialized gardening tools, and this might work pretty well. It does not have the classic shape. But is definitely a nice classic piece. For what is essentially a timeless profession and gardening. I like the handle better on the traditional blade, excuse my ignorance but I assume there antler. And from two different sources. Or are they treated somewhat differently. Also this is the steel the Austrian steel used by extreme ratio correct.

Yes they are both antler, white tail to be exact. They did not come from the same deer. In my pile of antlers I have a few pieces, tips and smaller crowns that I can’t use for much else so I thought this would be cool. Actually I have more antler that I can’t use than antler I can use. I have seen others do something like these. The 15n20 is a fairly simple high carbon steel with lots of extra nickel. I have it on hand for damascus, it is rather thin but makes for a decent blade I also make neck knives out of the 15n20. It is commenly used in bandsaw blades. I am not familiar with Extreme ratio.

Thanks

I was wrong about the steel comparison, embarrassingly so they actually use
n690. Totally different steel for totally different usage. Thanks for your reply.
