Friday again

Good luck with the hurricane headed your way! Man, that has to be the dumps having one of those roll in on you. I had plans yesterday, but all got trashed. One of our sons moved to Las Vegas and left his household goods to be moved by a moving company. Well, that went down the drain. So, he hired one of those pod deals, and the pod will be dropped here for a couple of days. Our daughter and one of the other sons and I spent yesterday moving most of his stuff here via two of our pickup trucks and storing it until the pod gets here. One more trip and we will have it all here. The fun part is that the place he moved from is 30 miles away. Rats. The pod will take up most of my the parking here, so that ought to be a fun thing, too. Also, we will have to carry all his stuff through the house to the back door, then off the deck to the dang pod. The pod company doesn't service Illinois, so we got stuck with all the mess here in Iowa. About Chicago, I have worked for an airline there at ORD. After getting back here in Iowa, I had to fly back there for company business regularly. I worked for another company that sent me many times to ORD, to the foreign airlines to inspect shipments and pick some of it up on occasions. I can do without ever having to go back to Chicago, unless it being fishing.

I'm off in a few minutes for a Meet & Greet with a wholu bunch og folks from that other Usual forum. Should be lots of knives and lots of fun!

You guys in Fla, keep your head down a be safe.

Sorry to ehar about the Bronco, that sucks.

Have to spend the rest of the weekend doing stuff for/with my wife as my KMG should show up this week so next weekend is ALL shop time!

We dumped everything and went to a Powwow at Keokuk, Iowa today. It was lots of fun, my tribe and my wife's tribe there, along with some other tribal members. Dancing, food, and lots of tent goods. The knives there were junk. Even for souvenir knives, they were crude and disappointing. There were only two into an argument, two different tribal members carrying on a tribal feud. Dang, it's time to bury the hatchet! Anyhow, everyone had a good time and it was only a hundred mile round trip for us. IG, I didn't see any scalps there. I thought I would see your scalp there, but it must be hanging from someone else's teepee pole.

John, you seen a pic of IG w/o his hat? You might have seen his scalp after all...it would have looked like one of those hairless bull-scrotum coin purses...... :D Not to worry, though, I'm sure as it fell off his head it took root on his back... :barf:

Hope you had a good party, George!!! :)
