Those aren't dimples....they're character marks! Like on my ruck;

I think part of the problem is that I work in tool & die - I see those dimples and I can just imagine the foreman telling me I gotta stone those out...

When you stone as much heat treated metal as I do, images like that are enough to send a shiver down your spine!!!
