I really like that blade shape -- not too curved. Unfortunately, I've already put nearly $2K on my credit card already this month, so I'm going to have to watch from the sidelines.

Yangdu, I love this one. Nice size and weight for doing the smaller jobs: I hope it makes it into the line up so that I can get one when I have the money.

Sheesh!!!! What a beautiful knife that's been allowed to set here all lonesome like for two whole days!
This is the exact knife that so many folks come here saying they're wanting... Nice and light at 16 ounces, pointy - so it could be used for thrusting, and 15 7/8" long, heck call it 16" oal length and to top it all of, very little, "cho creep!!!" Another one that would be mine whether I needed it or not if I weren't on a fixed income... ;) :D

.

I think "Lack 'O Moolah" disease has gotten a lot of us.

In better sharking waters, this wouldn't have lasted an hour.

This is TRULY one that can be appreciated. I love the style.... not too bulbous on the end, and not to curvy. Wish this would have come at a better $$$ time.. (someone tell me when THAT is.) If I wasn't planning surgery in the next month or so (I'll know Thurs. hopefully when I go in) I would have snagged this in a heartbeat!!!

Sorry all, Just to lazy to log in as myself.... Just wanted to wish Everyone a Happy Holiday... No matter what their Belief. And remember to light a candle or send smoke for all the poor rabbits that were given as gifts today, as many will find there way thrown out in the wild, or into animal shelters after the novelty has worn off.

Blessed Be,
Willow

Had not even thought about the concept of giving a rabbits as an Easter present ...it certainly does not have any prominence here ...I know Xmas is a time when animals are given as unwanted presents which soon become abandoned :(:thumbdn:

Spring tidings to you, Willow and yours.

ps. I just had to go back to the original posting of the history behind this beautiful blade ...as a reminder here is the antique Yangdu got the Kami's to recreate:

So lovely. So beautiful. I wish it could be mine. Alas, I am a poor person like many, so unless a bird flies into the house with a sack of money, I think I'll have to sit and wait on this.

I know I said I was poor and couldn't buy it... but something amazing happened, and I just had to jump on it. Le sigh, so much money is leaving my pockets due to the HIKV. But I'll accept my fate and let it be.

Anyways, due to a combination of my birthday bringing in a decent amount of cash and the fact that my girlfriend just sold some commemorative gold coin for about $1000, I pushed into my budget the purchase of this beauty.

Email sent, hopefully it's still there.

Thamang khukuri found a lovely home, thank you

Yay! I won a race against time! Well, I might have, but I wouldn't know any better. The beautiful blade shipped today. In a couple day, I'll hold in my hand one of the loveliest things I've personally ever seen. And just to top off my excitement, my previous DOTD purchase(from the 4/10 set) will be arriving on the same day! (11.5" villager CAK) Oh, and just to make me spread my grin a bit further, a friend of mine is buying me a Bilton as a late birthday present. Ha, I love that my Kobra will have some friends soon.

And some point down the line, my special CAK(which I think is yet to be made) will join the crew. Specially requested the blade to be made by Sher, with the only lefty sheath in the set.(Being left handed makes buying the DOTDs a bit interesting)

Le sigh, I am a happy person today. And will be all the more happier sooner.
