Nothing to apologize for. I ems'd for a Yek Chirra and for a Villager Balance 8 minutes after the DOT post last week and I got nothing. I'm happy for the guys who beat me to them and for HI and the desire these beautiful blades bring out in everyone.

As the saying goes, (paraphrasing) The blades that are meant for us will find us. If we miss out on one, there will be another truly special blade that we were meant to have just around the corner.
 
Them is words to live by right there. Seems like the heartbreakers that get grabbed up real quick seem to come around again so we all get another chance. I think Auntie is pretty observant and tries to heal all our broken hearts.

Like gbh2 said, the blades find their own home.
 
Congrats man! You were meant to have it. I TOTALLY agree with both gbh2 and bawanna...

I ordered something last week that was out of stock, Auntie emailed with an alternative, what I got far exceeded my expectations. I got a truly unique piece that I feel attached to... the blades find their own homes. I cant think of a better way to put it.

That is one hell of a blade, truly one of a kind. You are a lucky man.

Thank you Yangdu!!! The knife arrived on Wednesday and it is fantastic! I get to chop some wood today with it.

Awesome Conan11. Don't forget pics we LOVE pics here. Action shots of the chips flying or glamour shots with it resting on the leaves afterwards... heck we just want to see pictures of it however :D
 
I need to hang around more if there's good-looking, fairly straight YCSs going on special... Old sharks can still jump.

That is hefty with the chiruwa handle, it will be a beast. My original-style Sanu from 2002ish is 25oz.
 
+1on Gehazi's comment. I missed one a while back and emailed her with the specs and asked if she had one floating around.......she gave me an offer i couldn't refuse.
 
There's a really nice carved YCS from 2007 by Vim kami for sale in the knife exchange, that was just posted this morning - if I didn't already have one, I would have jumped on it.

I believe they'll be like the one you have by Yuvraj. The one with the inlaid diamond, ying/yang shapes, etc... She probably had some chiruwas made too, I'm willing to wager.
 
I'd really like to score one of them ying/yang ones, those are sweet.
 
Awww, damn, I gave in and looked. What a beauty over yonder in the exchange. I knew I shouldn't have looked. Didn't I tell myself not to look? But do I listen to myself, nooooooooo, I gotta look anyhow and all that does is drive me bonkers.
Looking at stuff beyond my meager debit card amount drives me bonkers.

I shouldn't have looked. Don't anybody else look. Save yourself...........
 
I want another one so I dont get tempted to scratch up my Yuvraj:thumbup: Luckily im pretty dang happy with my 20" AK so I dont have to have another big chopper...but it wouldnt hurt:D

Bawanna did you notice the weight on that Vim while you were looking? 46 0z.
