You may remember these opening words to a famous band's song in the 1980's.

With that in mind, its Friday, anyone taking out their favorite 1980's knife tonight to accompany you for a little R&R?

Bonus points if you name the band...

Love those guys!

I just use my day knife at night, but maybe I need to change that up. Order up some night knives to try out.

Motley Crue

Shame what's happening to them and their fans.

1980's going into the 90's: Buck 121 and my Buck 301.

Fighting?

I had a blade made from a combo of files and saw blades. I never used it. Showed it. A time or two. I was a 17 year old student and I was studying 'Common Sense '

Haha

I was part of the in house security for Def Leppard three times, a long time ago.
I was assigned to Jesse Jackson's Secret Service detail in 1988, while he was down in Miami campaigning. (I don't know if he can sing or not.) 🤣

Best concert: 1969: Stones, Janis Joplin, Ike & Tina Turner, and B.B. King in a show at Madison Square Garden.

Black Sabbath and Sir Lord Baltimore at the Fillmore East in 1970.

Oh, and in the same time frame on a Friday night, had someone tailing me across Washington Square Park at oh dark thirty in the morning after closing down the old "Kettle of Fish" in Greenwich Village, while taking a shortcut to my car. (I may have been weaving a bit.)

The footsteps suddenly changed their direction when I intentionally walked under a street lamp and made sure that the blade I was carrying reflected in the light. Saved me from what might otherwise have been a very ugly early Saturday morning.

I think I was carrying a manual knockoff of a knife like the one pictured in post 6.

Those were the days. ☺️

(Avoid knife fights at all costs.)

No a switch blade is a fun fidget toy and fishing trip cutting tool. They look so cool and original especially Italian styles. SWITCH BLADES ARE SOOOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOL AND FUN. THERE IS NOTHING THAT BEATS THE FIDGET FACTOR OF AN OTF NOT EVEN A DEMKO AD20.5/20. FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUUUUUUUUUUUUN. Every chap should own one everywhere. They are symbolic of good taste, style, and class.

A dessert warrior (pink glazed donut with multi color sprinkles color) Glock loaded super hot or even pepper spray would be a better choice if I had to defend my life during R&R and I won't be looking for fights because I certainly don't want or need them.
