I was part of the in house security for Def Leppard three times, a long time ago.
I was assigned to Jesse Jackson's Secret Service detail in 1988, while he was down in Miami campaigning. (I don't know if he can sing or not.)
Best concert: 1969: Stones, Janis Joplin, Ike & Tina Turner, and B.B. King in a show at Madison Square Garden.
Black Sabbath and Sir Lord Baltimore at the Fillmore East in 1970.
Oh, and in the same time frame on a Friday night, had someone tailing me across Washington Square Park at oh dark thirty in the morning after closing down the old "Kettle of Fish" in Greenwich Village, while taking a shortcut to my car. (I may have been weaving a bit.)
The footsteps suddenly changed their direction when I intentionally walked under a street lamp and made sure that the blade I was carrying reflected in the light. Saved me from what might otherwise have been a very ugly early Saturday morning.
I think I was carrying a manual knockoff of a knife like the one pictured in post 6.
Those were the days.
(Avoid knife fights at all costs.)
