Friday Oh Yea , Whoo hoo

Larry, if you see IG tomorrow, beat his a$$, give him a big kiss, then tell him "Fatzo says 'Hi!'".

Thank you, sir.... :D

My weekend is spent shaping a hippo tooth before starting a guard and pommel. I have spent about 2 hours with a fresh 36 grit zirconia trying to grind the enamel off this tooth...dang is that stuff HARD! House smells like when a dentist drills a tooth, too! Nanc is way happy. ;)

Hopefully I can make this come out right or it's going to be an expensive $200 pile of dust!

Well, nothing going on today.
I shaved the horses for the first time on thursday (wiskers, eyes, and the extra head fuzz). It was raining, so we couldn't ride. Tomorrow, I have riding again, and it is gonna be around 40 or 50, and either overcast or raining. Still need to learn how to arc and tig weld, and then I create the forge. I'm almost there, but man, it's hard to get welding lessons in my dad's prefab shop, since everything is always being used.

Well I just finished heat treating a blade. It's drawing now. I'll bring it to cordwrap. I also profiled one for our friend Nestor. Forged D2. I'll see if he likes it before we post picts.
Mark, If you get a chance profile a handle and put a hole in the back end of the tang so Deb has something to wrap on.
Going to class...We got new mats and I want to bounce somebody.

Larry

I think Deb was just humoring us with wrapping a handle the last time. You can show me again. :)

It's going to be nice to get the forge fired up. It's friggin cold out there in the shop.

Drive safe and call if you need anything Larry

We're supposed to have some lousy weather starting tonight, rain and wind, so I stocked up the refrigerator in the shop with Sam Adams and Corona. A man can't be to careful. If we lose power I just open a jar of Indian George's Forge In A Jar and set it in the middle of the house and it heats the place up pretty good. The last time I had to open a couple of windows to cool the place down.

I'll lay it on the line.....Friday sucked for me guys....big time. I'm glad it's over.

g'night.

It's saturday, and I just got back from working 8hours at the stables. We have a new horse (doesn't belong to us, but he is a free board since he is going to be used in lessons). He is weak in his hind end, not lame, since he is fine without someone riding him, and since he is used to bareback, he hates both getting tacked up, and the cross ties. We (me, and two other 13years olds) are going too stengthen him, teach him about the cross ties, and train him.

The shop is closed, and so I am still not learning how to weld.
