Friday Post

I didn't even get halfway through my list for last weekend. This weekend I should be adding homework to it, but I'm not gonna :D
Saturday morning I go into the state fairgrounds and reserve my stalls for the quarter horse congress coming up, I'll haul the horse in monday or tuesday and then compete on wednesday and thursday.
Still have the same knives to finish, been busy as heck lately. I gotta go shoot my new hogleg still (ok ok its an automatic, but I can't afford the ammo for a .45LC) its got a few more notches in the grip from this weeks trapping but I haven't pointed it at paper yet :(
And now that peter/don posted pics of that beautiful smoke pole I really am feelin the need to get my great plains rifle out. Not going huntin cause I never did find time to get the damn stuff done to get a license and all, but I still wanna shoot! There was a big FAT doe chillin out in my neighbors back yard the other morning when I went out to check my trap and feed the horses too, got within twenty yards of her, packin heat an I couldn't do nothin :grumpy:

LTL Learn to Load. Knife makers cast their own bullets and load their own ammo. Then you can afford to shoot the Long Colt.

Don, I can't figure anything you CAN'T do! Nice rifle, fella! I worked in my shop today and had the rest of the weekend figured out until 5 this evening. Ambulance took my wife to the hospital. She's been to the ER with her heart problems so much that the EMTs and staff know us on first name basis. The ambulance then transported her to another hospital, about 80 miles from here. It's gonna be a bummer weekend, but she will get better, anyhow. I'll just take some of my knife books with me and get comfortable there.

Hate to hear that John, hope she gets well quick. My mom had heart troubles. Never got to be ambulatory but she did have surgery and its made a huge difference. Its really amazing what they can do anymore.

Peter, I can't afford to reload either :D

John, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear about your wife. The important thing is that she will recover though. When I was having my heart problems, I think it was harder on my wife than on me so I feel for you.

My prayers for a speedy recovery.
Don

I'm very sorry to hear about your wife. :( You just being with her will do wonders for her heart.

Thanks, guys! I just got her home and she was crabby as hell all the way home. She's getting better, in other words. Last night they put another stent in her heart, had one main artery 90% plugged. That makes #11. She's doing good, and I'm gonna fall asleep at my workbench. Or, maybe just have a beer and fall asleep. Or 2. Thanks again for all your kind thoughts, fellas.
