Friday Post

New here, been playing with my new grinder and finally getting results I'm pleased with. This weekend I'll be finishing up a cooking knife by adding the canvas micarta to the handle.

Playing with kids and dogs and doing yard work is #1 this weekend.
 
I am a little late..........I got 7 knives from profiles to 120 grit and ready for heat treat. Most are 4" blades but one is a large/medium knife so thats good for me. I hope to heat treat them today and use the benifit of my even heat to temper all at the same time :thumbup:

Oh----my fingers are burnt but I still have to work on that :rolleyes:
 
Good to see you guys. Got some info and gave out a little. I only got a small window this morning so I think I'll stay home and try some micarta and maybe a sheath without rivits. I think one of those round knives might happen today also. The sand casting was interesting too.

Did that billet of Cable Damascus get made last night????

I'm going to try my damndest to attend the June meeting in Perry Hall. Told some Jerzeedevil MD collectors about it, they will be there too. Hopefully add to the coffers. Hope to meet you guys there.

If all goes as normal, I'll see you there. We try to get there between 7:00 and 7:30. Meeting usually starts 7:45ish. More BSing after the business meeting. Usually get out a little after 9:00.

blower didnt want to work so today we will be rebuilding the forge and giving it another nshot
