Friday sale practice thread!

Nathan's last sale post said "Come by here in two weeks for one more drop of Fat Bastards." This would mean the next sale is next Friday, January 16th. I thought I read somewhere else it would be another mix of fat bastards and regular field knives but I can't seem to find that post so maybe I'm wrong.

Hallo guys
Got question. Is still impossible to order CPK knife if you live in EU? I love to buy one but im from Poland and Nathan says he dont accept International orders or i misunderstand somthing.
Best Regards

Hi bro, so here’s the deal. I’m located on the opposite side of the world from the US, and with my country this method works:

You find an intermediary / people who provide purchasing and shipping services to your country.
These people are usually called buyers (or forwarding agents).

You find one of them — they usually have warehouses and addresses in the US.
You buy the knife in the US, it gets shipped to your buyer’s warehouse in the US, and then from there it’s forwarded to your country.

Of course, this costs extra money, but this is how I’ve already managed to buy 6 Carothers blades.

The main things are desire and research.

And yes, some of those blades are the Pig Sword and the K18 — and shipping companies literally freak out when they see how these blades look.
The intermediaries, on the other hand, understand all these specifics and know how to ship this kind of stuff.

You’re in Poland — that’s much easier than with my country.

By the way, I completely understand Nathan’s decision not to ship blades internationally.
It just takes too much time and isn’t worth the money unless you’re doing international shipping on a regular basis.

By shipping blades from the US to myself — and in general a bunch of different goods — I feel like I’m just a little bit away from being able to ship almost anything, anywhere.

So if you have any questions you need help with, send me a private message and I might be able to help you with it.

My country is one of the most difficult when it comes to importing even ordinary goods from the US, not to mention knives. With Poland, everything is much easier.

EDIT:
So basically, when I buy blades in the US, I’m just making life easier for the person who will be shipping them to me — I simply ask the seller to deliver the item to a warehouse in the US first.

Thank you very much Moorik.

services that can ship blades
I simply have solid experience shipping pretty much anything to different countries, and these are the intermediaries who can ship items to Poland.

All you need to do is contact all of them, provide clear photos of the knife, and honestly explain what it is, where you bought it, and for how much.

Statistically, only about 3 out of 10 companies will ship blades, especially ones like Carothers knives. They sometimes look too dangerous and are sometimes considered weapons by purpose, even if that’s a secondary characteristic. (European knife laws are some of the most degenerate ones overall, although in Poland, as far as I know, things are actually quite reasonable.)

From my personal experience, I can say that the better you explain everything and the more honest you are with the people who will be handling your international shipment, the smoother everything will go.

I can honestly say that any of my knives made by Nathan Carothers have probably traveled one of the longest distances possible, and in my country I might even be the only person who owns them.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time and nerves on this whole process.

For my country and my specific situation, I’ve found plenty of options — most importantly, all of them legal.

I was afraid I missed something. Maybe a DEK1.

Thank You.

Aannnnnd it’s gone.
